Diamondbacks Defeat The Giants 5-1

The Arizona Diamondbacks ended a five game losing streak Friday night, with a 5-1 victory over their NL West rivals the San Francisco Giants. Paul Goldschmidt and A.J. Pollock each homered for the Diamondbacks, and fellow youngster Patrick Corbin pitched 7 strong innings to earn his 2nd victory of the season.
Melky Cabrera provided the lone offense for the Giants, with a first inning homer. Madison Bumgarner, who had won his previous five starts, took the loss for the Giants. The 22 year old left hander is 5-2 on the season, with both his losses coming at the hands of the Diamondbacks.
The Diamondbacks have won nine straight over the Giants dating back to last season.
