NBA: Rockets agree to max deal with Harden
The Houston Rockets didn’t waste anytime locking up their new star player, James Harden. Four days after the Rockets acquired Harden from the Oklahoma City Thunder, they’ve come to an agreement with the guard, on a five-year, $80 million contract.
The Rockets open their season Wednesday night on the road, as they take on the Detroit Pistons. It will be the much anticipated debut of Harden, as well as free agent pick up, point guard, Jeremy Lin. The Rockets should be an exciting team to watch this year, even though they are not yet a legitimate contender. That being said, the Rockets hope and believe that their most recent acquisitions, will lead to high profile free agents wanting to play there in the future.
