NBA: Suns dominate second half, come away victorious

A very dominant second half carried the Suns (39-29) over the Magic (19-50) last night, with a final score of 109-93.

The game was tied at 25-25 after the first quarter and then 52-52 at the half, but the Phoenix defense stepped up their game in the second half.

Goran Dragic led the way for the Suns, finishing with 18 points and 6 assists. Eric Bledsoe had a solid all-around game, finishing with 7 points, 7 rebounds, 6 assists, and 3 steals.

Gerald Green was held scoreless in the first half and then scored 2 points in the third quarter on a nasty reverse jam. He owned the 4th quarter however. He nailed three three-point shots in the quarter to essentially seal the deal for the home team.

Nikola Vucevic was ejected for the game within the first 9 minutes of the game. He picked up an early technical foul for arguing a call and picked up his second after Channing Frye took a charge on him and Vucevic proceeded to throw the ball at Frye, while still on the ground, in anger.

Tobias Harris led Orlando in scoring with 23 points while also adding 9 rebounds. Aaron Afflalo scored 20 points and Victor Oladipo dropped 14 points with 9 dimes.

The Suns remain 1.5 games back of the Grizzlies as Memphis won last night as well, however Dallas did loss at home 123-122 and are now 1.5 games behind the Mavs as well.

The Suns next game will be on Friday from US Airways Center when they face the Detroit Pistons.
