NBA: Suns look to complete perfect roadtrip
The Suns (38-28) are still on the “outside-looking-in” for the Western Conference Playoffs and will look to string together a few wins down the stretch run to catch up to 8th place Memphis.
Phoenix has started off their three-game road trip well with wins over Boston and Toronto over the weekend and will look to complete a perfect road trip tonight when they face the Brooklyn Nets (33-31). Brooklyn is currently in 5th place in the Eastern Conference and is ultimately a lock for the playoffs.
In the previous matchup between the two squads in Phoenix, the Nets came away victorious 100-98 in overtime on a buzzer-beating floater from Joe Johnson. In that game, Brook Lopez (out for season) scored 27 points, while Goran Dragic scored 19 points and also added 10 assists.
The Suns are currently 1 game behind Memphis and 1.5 games behind the Dallas Mavericks. Phoenix will play 10 of their remaining 16 games on the road, but do hold a 16-15 record on the road this season.
The Suns and Nets tip-off tonight at 4:30 p.m. MT from Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY.
