NBA: Suns square off against Atlanta
Goran Dragic is coming off a career-high 40 points and will look to continue his hot scoring streak on Sunday night when the Suns (34-24) take on the Atlanta Hawks (26-31).
Dragic was able to completely dismantle the Pelicans defense on Friday (14-21 FG) and helped the Suns snap their three-game losing streak.
Over his last 29 games Dragic is averaging 22.8 points, 6.4 assists, while shooting 54% from the field and 47% from behind the arc.
Atlanta is coming off a 2-10 month of February. February included six consecutive road losses, all to Eastern Conference opponents.
Atlanta power forward Paul Millsap (knee) is still injured and will not be available for tonight’s game.
Kyle Korver currently holds an NBA record for consecutive games with a three-point field goal made as he has now done so in 126 consecutive games.
This game is a huge opportunity for the Suns (8th in the West) to build on their 1.5 game lead over Memphis (9th in the West).
The Suns and Hawks will tip off at 6:00 p.m. MT at US Airways Center.
