NBA: Suns win 4th straight, take down Hawks

Eric Bledsoe led the Suns to their fourth consecutive victory in Atlanta tonight 102-95 to sweep the season series with the Hawks.

This season for Phoenix has been unbelievable. The Suns (42-29) have captured a winning season after being the worst team in the Western Conference a year ago.

The Suns had five double-digit scorers and went 12-24 from behind the arch including 3-3 from Bledsoe. Bledsoe finished with 20 points, 6 rebounds, and 4 assists. Channing Frye was 4-9 from three, resulting in 18 points and 7 rebounds.

Goran Dragic had yet another solid game in which he scored 19 points, 6 rebounds, and 2 steals. He had 14 of those points in the 3rd quarter to lead the Suns to a 35-23 advantage in the frame.

The bench squad had a “down” game. “Down” for their standards that is. They “only” scored 37 points tonight, behind a solid 17 spot from Markieff Morris and Gerald Green chipped in with 13 points.

The Hawks (31-38) played a good game tonight with four players having 15+ points. Paul Millsap and DeMarre Carroll led the way with 19 points apiece. Atlanta only shot 41.7% from the field however.

Phoenix is now tied with the Dallas Mavericks for the 8th seed in the West, 0.5 games behind Memphis, and just 3 games behind both Golden State and Portland. The Suns will play in Dallas on April 12th and will host the Grizzlies in their home finale on April 14th.

The Suns will be back in action on Wednesday when they travel to the nation’s capital to play the Washington Wizards.
