NBA: Tidbits

Lets take a look at some news and notes around the NBA the past few days.

The Dallas Mavericks have signed veteran point guard Derek Fisher. The 38-year-old is no longer the player he once was when he was a part of many championship clubs with the Los Angeles Lakers, but the veteran will add strong leadership skills to the Mavericks.

On Wednesday night, Boston Celtics point guard Rajon Rondo saw his streak of 10-plus assists in a game end at 37 games. Rondo was ejected in the 2nd quarter after a tussle with Brooklyn Nets forward Kris Humphries. At the time of his ejection, Rondo had 3 assists. It’s a tough way for his outstanding streak to end, and to make matters worse for Rondo and the Celtics, it looks as if Rondo may also face suspension for his role in the altercation.
